UTA and Trax

Utah Transit Authority (UTA) offers public transportation across the Salt Lake valley via buses, trains and trolley lines. UTA is FREE for University of Utah students with your student ID (UCard). Explore routes and plan your trip online.

Campus Shuttles

Campus Shuttles

The University of Utah provides free shuttle buses to connect you to campus. Shuttles operate Monday through Friday from approximately 6 am to 11:30 pm depending on the route.  Detailed information on routes and times http://uofubus.com/ or download the Live Tracker for your smart phone.

Parking on Campus

Parking is FREE at the Continuing Education Building where a majority of ELI classes are held. Parking on the University of Utah campus requires a permit, or payment via a payment kiosk in the visitor lots. Purchase a permit online.

There are many options available to take a taxi, Uber, or Lyft to get you where you need to go.

Bicycling

Bicycling

Riding a bike can be a great way to commute around Salt Lake City and the University of Utah. The University to Downtown Bikeway connects the U to the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Salt Lake City is a bike friendly city with many designated bike lanes. Check out Salt Lake City’s Bike Map for detailed routes.
